Heath Cardie

Heath Cardie has been working in the investment industry since 1993 and focused on private equity since 1997.   His experience has included:

• General Partner of a private equity fund of funds
• Vice President of Alternative Investments (hedge funds and private equity)
• Director – Private Equity Consulting for an institutional investment consulting firm
• Limited Partner in private equity funds and alternative investments
• Direct equity investor in small and medium-sized companies

Heath also serves as the President and Co-Founder of Carner Services, Inc.  Carner was founded in late 2000 and is a closely-held private equity investment company with holdings in the equipment leasing, recycling, export, service and manufacturing industries. Carner seeks platform/add-on companies with $250,000 to $1,000,000 in EBITDA. Carner has 3 current platform companies. These companies have operations in 19 sites around the United States with a concentration in the Midwest and south.

In addition, Heath was the Director – Private Equity Consulting for Watershed Investments Consultants from 2002 until 2016.  At Watershed, Heath was responsible for managing and advising on private equity fund of funds and alternative investments departments.

Prior to joining Watershed, Heath was Vice President of Research for WealthPlace, an alternative investments research adviser based in New York. From 1998-2000, Heath served as Senior Investment Officer for Sovereign Financial Services, a private equity fund-of-funds manager and consultant. From 1997-1998, he was the Treasury Department Manager at the University of Colorado Foundation, responsible for the endowment fund, operations funds and other trusts. From 1995-1997, Heath was an analyst with Mercer Investment Consulting in Denver.

Heath has held the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 1997. He holds an MS in Finance degree from the University of Colorado and a BS in Business Administration from Ambassador University. Heath is also a Certified Treasury Professional, achieving the designation in 1998. Mr. Cardie is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Colorado.
