Doug Schneider

Doug has extensive experience and a successful track record as a senior executive in several organizations. He is a broad strategic thinker who also has deep operational experience in healthcare information technology and healthcare analytics. As CEO he has led successful acquisitions, significant revenue growth, and a healthcare tech IPO.

Doug spent over twenty years in the healthcare information technology industry, leading and working on talented teams which drove industry expansion and innovation. From 2012 to 2016, he was CEO of Connecture a leading provider of on-line healthcare shopping and enrollment solutions offered to consumers and employers through health plans, insurance brokers, and government agencies. Under Doug’s leadership Connecture grew from $18M to $95M in revenue in five years, attracted private equity investment, executed a successful acquisition, and became a publicly traded company in December 2014. Prior to Connecture, Doug spent 15 years with Thomson Reuters healthcare analytics business – which was acquired by IBM in 2016. As Executive Vice President of Innovation and Products, he was responsible for innovation and product management and his teams delivered several product innovations in the domain areas of healthcare decision support, analytic methods, and consumer engagement that generated millions of dollars of top-line revenue. During Doug’s tenure Thomson’s healthcare analytics business grew from $60m to $480m in revenue.

Doug has a broad functional background having led product management, marketing, healthcare analytics, sales and client delivery teams. Prior to Connecture and Thomson Reuters he worked for several smaller information technology firms serving the financial services, electronics, aerospace, and automotive industries. He started his career as an information technology consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co (now Accenture).

Doug has an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Systems Analysis from Miami University (Ohio).

Doug resides with his wife in Cincinnati, Ohio and Hilton Head, South Carolina. An avid long-distance runner, he is the author of the running memoir, Ten Marathons: Searching for the Soft Ground in a Hard World.
