David Jacques Farahi

Industry Advisor, ICI Fund | Former COO, Monarch Casino & Resort

David Jacques Farahi is a Colorado-based investor and board leader specializing in gaming, hospitality, and high-growth technology companies. He brings the lens of a seasoned operator to the companies he backs, identifying structural leverage, stress-testing unit economics, and working alongside executive teams to scale. Every investment he has made as a principal has progressed to institutional follow-on funding.

Farahi built his operating foundation at Monarch Casino & Resort (Nasdaq: MCRI), one of the country’s leading regional gaming companies. From 2012 to 2021, as Chief Operating Officer, he oversaw the company’s two resort properties and more than 2,000 team members, a tenure that included leading operations through a $400 million expansion of the company’s Black Hawk, Colorado property, one of the most ambitious and successful regional gaming developments of its era. He was also directly responsible for investor relations and business development and served four terms as President of the Colorado Gaming Association (2015–2021), leading the industry through three successful statewide ballot initiatives. His earlier career included finance roles with HSBC Bank PLC across London, Geneva, and New York.

Today, Farahi serves as Executive Chairman of Quick Custom Intelligence, a leading SaaS platform for gaming and hospitality operators, and Executive Chairman of Kindbridge Behavioral Health, the foremost telehealth platform treating the full spectrum of internet and technology-driven addictions. He is President of Bites, a video-based learning platform for frontline employees, and an Industry Advisor to ICI, a venture capital fund investing in Israeli technology companies. He served as an Independent Director of PlayAGS (NYSE: AGS) from 2022 until the company went private in 2025.

Farahi is deeply engaged in community and civic life. He teaches hospitality as an adjunct professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver, serves as a Trustee of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, joined the Leadership Network of the American Enterprise Institute in their Fall 2021 Cohort and has held board roles at Colorado Concern, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, and JEWISHColorado, among others. He is the recipient of the Colorado JCRC’s 2026 Community Leadership Award.

Farahi is also a committed advocate for the U.S.-Israel partnership, which he views as a cornerstone of American strategic interests and a reflection of shared democratic values. He writes and speaks regularly on themes of leadership, agency, resilience, and geopolitics, a worldview shaped by his Iranian-American Jewish heritage, conversational skills in French and Persian, and life lived across three continents. His work has appeared in publications and podcasts across America and Israel. He leads U.S. fundraising for Derech Eretz, a pre-army academy for Israeli youth from underserved communities, and is a founding member of the Israel Economic Forum.

He holds a BA in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University and an MBA with concentrations in Real Estate and Finance from Columbia Business School, both with Dean’s List honors. He completed the Presidents’ Program in Leadership at Harvard Business School and is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
