TY Sagalow

Ty is a legend in the insurance industry having spent over 45 years there in senior positions.  In his 25 years at AIG, Ty was Chief Underwriting Officer, General Counsel, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at various national and international subsidiaries of the Company.  Following AIG. Ty was Chief Innovation Officer at Zurich Insurance of America and Tower Group.  In 2015, Ty became a Founding Member and employee #3 of Israeli based Insurtech, Lemonade, and its Chief Insurance Officer as well as Lemonade Insurance Company’s CEO.  Lemonade went on to go public in 2020 as one of NYSE’s largest “technology” IPO.  Today, as Innovation Insurance Group’s founder and CEO, Ty is on the board of both for-profit and not-for-profit boards and has a thriving practice as an expert witness in complex insurance disputes.  In 2025, he was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from FETA, an insurance organization.  Ty is an attorney having graduated cum laude from prestigious Georgetown University and holds a LLM (advanced law degree) from New York University Law School.  Ty is the author of several books on insurance including “The Making of Lemonade” available on Amazon.
